BRADENTON – At Tuesday’s meeting, Manatee County Commissioners confirmed the hiring of longtime school district attorney Mitchell Teitelbaum as deputy county administrator. Sheila McClean was confirmed as Chief Financial Officer.
The following departments will report to Teitelbaum: Human Resources, Transit/Fleet/Code Enforcement, Ops/Economic Development, and Public Records/Information Outreach.
"I want to express my extreme gratitude for this opportunity,“ said Teitelbaum. "I’m very humbled to come before you to continue my community service. It has been wonderful to serve the school board. This is the next chapter. This is a new board. Congratulations to those who are on this board, and I will faithfully serve you, our county administrator, and, most importantly, the community.“
McClean has been serving as the interim CFO since late May. Prior, she was the Deputy Director for Budget for Manatee County Government.
