American Airlines to Add New Route to MIA from SRQ

SARASOTA — American Airlines will launch daily nonstop service to Miami, FL (MIA) from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) beginning November 3. 

“We are thrilled to announce that American Airlines will be adding Miami, FL (MIA) as their sixth nonstop destination from SRQ. American Airlines currently offers nonstop service from SRQ to Charlotte, NC (CLT), Washington, D.C. (DCA), Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (DFW), Chicago, IL (ORD), and Philadelphia, PA (PHL)." stated Rick Piccolo, President, CEO of the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.

The daily flights will be operated on a 76-seat Embraer 175 jet offering first class, main cabin extra, and main cabin, departing from SRQ at 6:30 AM, arriving at MIA at 7:40 AM. For the return trip, flights will depart MIA at 9:30 PM and arrive at SRQ at 10:40 PM.

“American is pleased to connect Sarasota with our Miami hub,” said Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning. “Miami is our gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, and with this service, customers will be able to connect to more than 60 destinations in the region to explore vibrant Puerto Rico, relax on the beaches of Aruba, or taste the coffee in Colombia, and much more.”
