BRADENTON — As we enter the season of increased traffic, we encourage everyone to plan for longer commutes, stay safe, and always remember we are the “Friendly City!”

The School Speed Zone Camera Safety Program implementation began with two schools, Bradenton Christian School and Jessie P. Miller Elementary. Cameras at these locations began issuing violations on November 21, 2024. Approximately 200 violations have been issued.

The cameras at the schools below began issuing violations on January 13, 2025: Ballard Elementary, G.D. Rogers Elementary, H.S. Moody Elementary, Manatee Elementary, Robert H. Prine Elementary, Sea Breeze Elementary, Sugg Middle School, and Manatee High School.

The School Speed Zone Camera Safety Program required a 30-day warning period for each school. Approximately 400 warnings were issued. More information on the School Speed Zone Camera program is available here.
