Coming Together as a Community: Art Walk and Hurricane Relief Efforts in the Village of the Arts

Posted

BRADENTON — As the art season kicks off with our highly anticipated Art Walk, the Village of the Arts community is also uniting to support those impacted by Hurricane Helene. This weekend offers not only a celebration of local art and creativity but also an opportunity for neighbors to come together and provide essential relief to those in need.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring relief supplies to one of the designated drop-off locations in the Village during the Art Walk. Participating galleries include Monark Custom Framing and Art Gallery, TVM Gallery, The Painter and The Potter, The Village Art House Collective, and Adobe Graffiti Lounge. The most needed items include cleaning supplies—such as gloves, bleach, trash bags, paper towels, mops, and brooms—as well as non-perishable food items.

Event Dates & Times:

  • Friday, October 4th: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and evening hours from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm
  • Saturday, October 5th: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

The Art Walk will feature a variety of exhibitions and art forms, ranging from fine art and folk art to crystals, candles, pottery, and glasswork. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet local artists, explore unique crafts, enjoy delicious food from local vendors, and experience live music that will create the perfect ambiance for this exciting event.

“This family-friendly event is a wonderful way to welcome the fall season while supporting the creative heartbeat of our local community,” said [Dawn Collins, The Village Mystic]. “And in light of Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact, it’s also a time for us to come together and help those who need it most.”

As we celebrate the beauty of the arts and the creativity within our Village, we encourage everyone to embrace this opportunity to make a difference. Together, we can demonstrate the strength and compassion of our community, where creativity and support go hand in hand.
