QUANTICO, VA — In a hastily assembled speech to the US military's generals and admirals at a Marine base in Quantico, VA, on Tuesday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth employed ideologically charged language to articulate his vision for the "warrior ethos" in the United States Military.
Hegseth vowed to make the military “stronger, tougher, faster, fiercer and more powerful than it has ever been before,” railing against "fat generals" and different standards for females serving in combat roles. Hegseth emphasized that the military needs to enforce stricter standards, encompassing physical fitness, grooming, and discipline.
