Miss United States Files Restraining Order Against Florida Congressman

Posted

COLUMBIA COUNTY — A Florida Republican state committeewoman who is the reigning Miss United States has filed a restraining order against Congressman Cory Mills (R-FL) after reporting him to local and state law enforcement for harassment, threatening to release sexual videos, and to harm future boyfriends.

First reported by Drop Site News, Lindsey Langston told the outlet that she began dating Mills in 2021, and that they moved in together last summer. She ended the relationship this February after discovering the Congressman had another girlfriend.

Langston said she made the discovery of a second girlfriend after national news reports that the other woman, Sarah Raviani, had reported Mills to authorities for assaulting her at a Washington, D.C. condo they shared. Raviani later recanted the assault allegations.

Langston says Mills continued to harass her for months, despite repeated requests that he cease contacting her. In a July 14 police report, Langston provided local and state investigators with timestamped digital evidence to support her allegations.

Mills represents Florida’s 7th Congressional District, which lies between Orlando and Daytona Beach and includes Sanford, Deltona, and New Smyrna Beach. The Miss United States pageant is distinct from the Miss USA pageant, from which the winners advance to the Miss Universe contest.
