Raymond Marler

Born June 22, 1937, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Raymond moved to North Miami, Florida in 1948, where he graduated from North Miami High school in 1956.

Raymond went onto serve in the Army National Guard, with a ranking of Corporal E-4 Company "C" of the 211th Infantry Regt. from April 19, 1956, to January 18, 1959. He also served in the United States Air Force with a ranking of A1C E-4 from January 19, 1959, to July 18, 1963.

After his service, he returned to Hollywood, Florida, where he met his wife, Arlene and they married March 20, 1965, and went on to have their son Warren Douglas Marler on March 7, 1968. Shortly thereafter in 1972, they moved to Bradenton, Florida where he lived until his death on June 29, 2024.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Arlene M. Marler; his son Warren Douglas Marler (Kimberly D. Marler); Granddaughter, Danielle Rhea Marler; Great Granddaughter, Leigha M. Ballard; as well as many nieces and nephews; and Raymond was pre-deceased by his ten brothers and sisters, Roy, Andrew, Charles, James, Kathryn, Frankie, Lucille, Essie, Edith, and EsterRuth and his Granddaughter Alexandria J. Marler.

Raymond "Ray The Bug Man" retired from Fahey Pest Solutions in Sarasota Fl. after 24 years of service from 1983 to 2007 and prior to that worked for Dixie Uniforms in Sarasota, Fl. for 11 years.

Raymond enjoyed sharing the gospel by giving out angels and crosses at local restaurants and other places he visited throughout the years. His favorite saying is "Your best is yet to come".
