Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio

Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio will perform from the Tiki stage at Stottlemyer’s Smokehouse this weekend. Twinkle has worked with Aerosmith, Dickie Betts, Rod Stewart, Gregg Allman, and countless others. In the '90s, she was signed to Warner Brothers for her debut album Haunted by Real Life, produced by Patrick Leonard (Madonna, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd) where it gained ready attention on the jazz/pop charts for its title song. Rock Soul Radio members are lead vocalist Twinkle, guitarist Lenny Brooks, bassist Tony LeClerc, and Benny Puckett on the drums. No Cover.

About the Venue:
East of I-75 on Fruitville Road, Stottlemyer’s Smokehouse is an open-air barbecue restaurant set under an expansive outdoor tiki hut, including an old-Florida style Tiki-bar. Established by the Stottlemyer family, the family-friendly restaurant and live music venue serves brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sandwiches, and salads in a unique atmosphere. Dirty Byrd
Cask & Ale Kitchen

Dirty Byrd is one of the area’s favorite party bands. The Sarasota-based jam band performs blues, country, R&B, funk, jazz, rock, southern rock, and more. Led by two seasoned local musicians, Brian Byrd (pedal steel guitar and lead vocals) and Thorson Moore (electric guitar and vocals), and joined by talented musicians Damon Owens (percussion/drums) and Andrew Glasgow (electric bass). The band's shows frequently include some of the area’s most talented musicians as guest performers, creating shows that are unique each time the band takes the stage. No cover.
About the Venue:
Located on Main Street in downtown Sarasota, Cask Ale and Kitchen is a restaurant and bar known for its hand-crafted cocktails and contemporary atmosphere. The venue has seating both indoors and outdoors. Cask Ale and Kitchen serve a limited menu of up-scale pub-fare cuisine, including appetizers, burgers, and tacos. Dr. Dave Band
Motorworks Brewing

The Dr. Dave Band is a high-energy country and classic rock band. They’ve received five Reader's Choice Awards–including 2021 Reader's Choice Best Local Musical Group/Performer–for their feel-good, make ya’ smile performances. Band leader Dave plays guitar, electric fiddle, and banjo. Dr. Dave describes their music as "Kick-grass country-rock". No cover.
About the Venue:
Since its opening in 2014, Motorworks Brewing has become one of the most awarded breweries in Florida, with over 22 national and international medals. With 20+ beers on draught, a full liquor bar, an expansive wine collection, and a rotating batch of seasonal and specialty brews available in the taproom, Motorworks is a great place to join friends for a fresh pint of beer or a cocktail. The Prodigal Sons is a singer-songwriting duo born out of a shared love of music. Musicians Thomas McNulty and Dana Lawrence enjoy the nuance of harmonies and the exploration of how deep two acoustic instruments can go. The duo performs Americana (The Band, Grateful Dead, Jason Isbell), Celtic music (traditional favorites and modern songs from Flogging Molly, Hothouse Flowers, and the Pogues) as well as performing original compositions.
The Prodigal Sons' Dana Lawrence is probably best known as the frontman and founder of popular local band, Kettle of Fish, a Sarasota band that has been performing for audiences across Florida and the southeastern United States for over 20 years. His passion for music is evident in his seemingly endless catalog of songs as it is in the diverse backgrounds of music heard in his originals. From rock to blues and from reggae to R&B, McNulty is a multi-instrumentalist who plays banjo, mandolin, and acoustic guitar, performing each instrument with equal aplomb and fierceness. His motto is, "I’ve never played a song I don’t know; I just haven’t played it yet." No cover.

The Big Top Brewing Company has re-envisioned what the former Naughty Monk Ale Works was at its core and brings you, The Big Top Brewers Collective. Going back to the roots of all Belgian-inspired beers, the Big Top Brewing Company has located its brewing base at the former Naughty Monk location in Lakewood Ranch. 2507 Lakewood Ranch Blvd, Bradenton.

Jiggs Landing Outpost

From sweet to sassy, philosophical to irreverent, Stumble Creek is an eclectic mix of Americana with strong folk roots, hot bluegrass flashes, and rock-inspired riffs. Like every good creek should, Stumble Creek offers a range of sounds and sensations that provide a feast for the ears as well as the heart – a one-of-a-kind experience at every bend and turn. The band features Austin Kennedy (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Sara Stovall (vocals, fiddle), Heather Downie (vocals, guitar, mandolin), and Tom Hicks (vocals, upright bass). Cover $5.

Jiggs Landing Outpost is located inside the Manatee County Park Jiggs Landing. The outpost features a public boat ramp, fishing, cabin rentals, kayak and canoe rentals, a bait shop, and small cafe–but they are also a live music venue! The outdoor venue is on the Evers Reservoir and Braden River with prime views of the sunset. Enjoy a beautiful natural venue in a historic area in the heart of East Manatee. Birdrock Taco Shack

Dead Set Florida is a Tampa Bay-based band performing music of the Grateful Dead and The Jerry Garcia Band, as well as solo material from Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. The group was founded in 2017 by bassist and vocalist Christian Walker. Walker is joined by Paul Wolff (lead guitarist), Tucker Waud (keyboardist), Michael Garrie (rhythm guitar and vocals), Mike Garrie (drums and vocals), and Michael Pandiscio (rhythm guitar and vocals). Pandiscio is the band’s newest member, joining during the 2020 pandemic. A year later, the five-piece is complete and continuing its mission to keep the legacy of "the greatest musical presence of the 20th century" jamming, spinning, and dancing. No cover.

Birdrock Taco Shack has a new, larger location, just a couple of blocks from its original location in Bradenton Florida's Village of the Arts. Birdrock is a unique funky-fun taco spot. Owner and chef David Shiplett–also the owner of popular Cottonmouth South Soul Kitchen–doesn’t serve up just any tacos, these are Dave Shiplett tacos! "Country rock, island style." Singer-songwriter Eric Von is a Nashville-based recording artist. Born and raised in Cortez, Florida, Von Started playing guitar and writing music at twelve and was performing live by fourteen. Eric spent three years in Nashville, playing on Broadway, and writing and recording his second CD. His song I Can't Help but Smile made it to number 64 on the Country Breakout Charts. In 2007, Von was named the Colgate Country Showdown winner for Central Florida, and advanced to secure the title of Colgate Country Showdown winner for the State of Florida that same year. In 2008 he was named the winner of Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star of the Tampa Bay Area. $5 cover.

88 Live Piano Bar is one of Bradenton’s newest live entertainment hot spots. Join RJ Howson & Friends for a Sunday Blues and Brews jam! Fire branded in the Chicago blues circuit, roots-rocker and bluesman RJ Howson picked up his skillful guitar chops performing and sharing the stage with blues icons and fellow musicians at Buddy Guy’s Legends, Rosa's Lounge, Kingston Mines, BLUES on Halstead, and many other clubs in the Windy City as well as countless other venues across the Midwest. RJ continues to be steeped in the southern stews since moving to Florida, with openers for Butch Trucks & the Freight Train Band, Dickey Betts & Great Southern, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Molly Hatchet, Buddy Guy, and a host of other legendary musicians. Having played music beginning in his youth, RJ has played everything from Chicago Blues to funk, soul, rock, gospel, country, salsa, and World Music.

RJ will be joined on stage by Mark Serio (vocals and slide guitar), Pedro Arevalo (vocals and bass), and Garrett Dawson (drums). Serio, Arevalo, and Dawson have performed with Dickey Betts Great Southern. Dawson has also toured with the Butch Trucks Band and Pedro has toured withDevon Allman's Honeytribe.

The popular local band Kettle of Fish has been performing in clubs, pubs, and venues across Manatee and Sarasota, as well as across Florida and the U.S., for years. Lead singer, guitarist, and band founder Dana Lawrence is one of the area’s favorite singer-songwriters. Kettle of Fish is a band with an ever-fluid rotation of talented local and guest musicians.
Over their years of performing, Kettle of Fish has shared the stage with numerous bands and musicians including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Roger Waters’ Band, Devon Allman, Pat Travers, Damon Fowler, and Dickey Betts, and they have played opening performances for artists such as Eddie Money, Molly Hatchet, Elvin Bishop, Tommy Castro, Trombone Shorty, the Marshall Tucker Band, Jimmy Buffett (at the famous Blue Heaven in Key West), and many more. Kettle of Fish delivers a sound that is a rootsy "blues rock with soul" that works to bring together soulful blues with the energy of rock n’ roll.
