Minister Charlie Bouie, age 76, of Bradenton, Florida, departed this life Friday, July 15, 2022.

Minister Bouie was the son of the late Charlie Bouie Sr. and Annie Pearl Wynn-Gardner, and was born on December 31, 1945, in Quincy Florida.

Minister Bouie attended public schools in Gadsden County and graduated from Carter Parramore High School in Quincy FL. He also attended FAMU in Tallahassee FL for two years. He later moved to Maryland and worked for the Maryland Correction Institution as a guard and retired after more than 30 years of service. He was also involved in several organizations in his lifetime that included being a Shriner, the Wishful Master of Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge #10, and was prior president of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Union.

He moved to Manatee County in 2018 and later joined Greater Mt. Pilgrim church where he was ordained as a minister and served as a faithful humble servant.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his brother: Edward Gardner, sister: Gloria Willis (Edward), grandson: Michael Thomas, aunties: Annie Ola Wynn, Julia Lee Wynn, special cousins: Reginald Wynn, Spencer Jackson, Regina Smith, Michael Gardner, and a host other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Mt Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Church, 126 9th Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205.
