Dale James Dreger passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the age of 79.
Dale was born on October 20, 1942, in Elyria, Ohio. He briefly served in the US Air Force before his father, Otto Dreger passed away in 1962.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Marilyn Dreger and his first wife, Gail Dreger. He is survived by his son, Dale "Chip“ Dreger and wife Jane Boyd Dreger; grandchildren, Michael Dreger and Jessica Dreger; his second wife, Sheila Dreger and sisters, Judy and Sandra (Bowman).
Dale was a talented plumber and owner of Key Plumbing. An avid golfer, gardener and "Poppa“, Dale will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was always a quiet, kind, loving man.
A funeral is planned for Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Armand’s Key Lutheran Church at 40 N. Adams Drive, Sarasota, Florida 34236, where Dale was a member. Immediately following the service, a graveside service will be held at Sarasota Memorial Park at 5833 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida 34231. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West Bradenton, FL 34207 is in charge of arrangements.
