Linda Brown age 73 passed away July 5, 2022, in her Palmetto, FL home.

Born November 4, 1948, in Philadelphia PA, the daughter of the late Eugene May and Rita (Conboy) May. Linda was the eldest of 11 children. Linda was a tough cookie but she definitely had a heart of gold as well. You could always count on Linda to keep it 100 percent with you. She would give you her honest opinion (even if you didn't ask for it). If you were loved by Linda though, then consider yourself blessed because she loved like no other.

She attended college at Georgetown University. After receiving her degree, she went on to be an administrative assistant to Congressman Gibbons at the Capitol of Washington D.C. During those years, she developed a strong love for her Washington Redskins. She then went on to marry the love of her life, James C. Brown Jr. At this time, he was currently serving in the US Navy which Linda proudly stood by his side for his 2 decades of service. During those years, they were blessed with their 3 beautiful children, Jimmy, Jonathan, and Jennifer. They eventually settled in Sarasota, FL where they started U.S. Tank and Cryogenics, a family business from the day the doors opened. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family. Some of her fondest memories were traveling around the world with her husband, spending time with her oldest son Jimmy while listening to their favorite Elvis tunes, dancing with her little Peyton around the living room. Her real peace came from sitting on her beloved dock on Terra Ceia Bay and watching Gods breathtaking sunsets daily. She also cherished lunch dates with her daughter at their favorite spots on the water. But nothing brought Linda a bigger smile than spending time with her 7 grandchildren and all the fun adventures they went on.

In death, she is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, James C Brown II, her precious granddaughter Jillian Brown and her son Jonathan Eugene Brown. Linda is survived by her eldest son Jimmy Brown, of Lewisburg, TN, and her only daughter Jennifer Glidden-Brown of Parrish, FL. She also has 7 amazing grandchildren-->Kyla May Glidden, Riley Jordan Glidden, Kenley Hope Glidden Peyton Grace Brown, Jonathan "JJ" Brown, and Jocelyn Eva Brown.

Visitation will be held at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 604 43rd St. W. Bradenton, FL 34209 on July 11th, 2022, at 11 am. Immediately following will be her burial at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, Fl.
