Roxine "Rocky" Nancy Green Wilson
Rocky Wilson, 73, of Whittier, NC joined her Lord & Savior Jesus, her husband Charles on December 11, 2022 in Leakesville, MS after a short illness.
Rocky was born to Adonist (Norton) Green & Richard Noah Green in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County) on December 3, 1949. She graduated Southeast Highschool class of 1969. While at Southeast High, she met the love of her life, Charles Eugene Wilson, whom she married in 1969. They have 2 children together, Joyce (Wilson) Miller & Richard Wilson. Roxine & Charles were residents of Samoset, FL, Parrish, FL, & Whittier, NC.
Rocky always enjoyed a challenge & had a great sense of adventure. Always eager to learn & explore; she enjoyed traveling, working, & discovering new places. She loved to spend her free time cooking, doing crafts, & photography. Most of all, She loved singing Gospel songs & hymns to the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Wilson, mother Adonist Green, father Richard Green, brother Ronnie Green, and nephew James “Jimmy” Santjer. She survived by her daughter Joyce (Ernie) Miller of Leakesville, MS; son Richard (Amanda) Wilson of Arcadia, FL; grandsons Caleb Miller, Bennett Miller, Austin Wilson, Elijah Wilson; granddaughter Destiny Miller; sister Linda Green Santjer of Okeechobee, FL; nephew John Santjer & niece Megan Santjer of Franklin, NC; niece Yolanda Santjer of Wimauma, FL; and 4 great-nephews John Santjer II, Noah Santjer, Judah Santjer, & Isaiah Santjer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 6,2024 at The Falls at Union Hill – 357 Union Hill Road in Whittier, NC from 1pm to 4pm.
