Thomas Edward "Tommy," "Tom," "Riff Raff," Rafferty, 56, of Bradenton, FL passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022.
Tom was born in Albany, NY, and graduated from Saratoga High School. After high school, he went into the US Army where he served his country honorably for 10 years. We thank him very much for his service to our country and his name will be placed on the Wall of Honor by the Veterans Administration.
Tom was a restaurant manager for at least 19 years. He was an avid golfer doing something very few people do, by scoring a Hole in One. Every Sunday you could see him right in front of the TV furiously routing the New York Giants Football Team or the New York Yankees, baseball Team.
Tom is survived by his parents, Margaret and Joseph Rafferty; his In-laws James and Lynne Peronti, his ex-wife, Wendy and their son, Ryan (Marlene) and their grandson, Andrew; He is also survived by his wife, Michele; daughter, Felicia Howell and adopted son, Axel J. Howell, which was the love of his life. Also surviving are his brothers, Joseph W., Michael P., and Timothy S. (Paula) and his brother in laws Jon M. (Stephanie) Irwin and Michael J. Irwin. He also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his grandfather, Thomas E. Dunn (From who he was named after) grandmother, Helen G. Dunn; his grandfather, Joseph W. and Mary A. Rafferty; father- In - Law, O. Michael Irwin; cousin, Carmen Lomonoco; niece, Katelyn P. .Irwin.
He will be laid to rest with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Ss Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church 2850 75th Street West Bradenton, FL 34209. Military Honors will be 12:30 P.M. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. A reception will be at Arbor Terrace Club House, 405 57th Ave., Bradenton, Florida 34207.
